MTV Video Music Awards หรือ VMA เวทีอันทรงเกียรติอีกหนึ่งเวทีของวงการเพลง เป็นครั้งแรกในประวัติศาสตร์รอบ 33 ปีที่ยกขบวนความยิ่งใหญ่ไปจัดงานประกาศผลรางวัลที่ Madison Square Garden แห่งเมือง New York ในวันที่ 28 สิงหาคมที่จะถึงนี้

       และในปีนี้ 2016 กับเพลงที่ดังเปรี้ยงปร้างอย่าง “Hotline Bling” ของ Drake, เพลง“Into You” ของสาว Ariana Grande, เพลง “Sorry” ของ Justin Bieber, เพลง “Work” ของแม่ห่าน Rihanna หรือจะเป็นเพลง “Famous” ของแร็ปเปอร์ชื่อดัง Kanye West ที่ตบเท้าเข้าชิงรางวัลกันอย่างคับคั่งแล้ว ก็ยังมีศิลปินอีกมากมายอย่าง The Weeknd, DNCE, Alessia Cara, Desiigner, Alesso และ Fergie ที่มีชื่อเข้าลุ้นรางวัลกันด้วยนะ

       นอกจากนี้แล้วความพิเศษสุดของปีนี้ก็คือรางวัล “Breakthrough Long Form Video”ที่เพิ่มเข้ามา เพื่อมอบให้กับมิวสิควิดีโอที่ทำเป็นภาคต่อเรื่องราว โดยมีศิลปินที่เข้าชิงได้น่าสนใจอย่าง “Florence + The Machine – The Odyssey”, “Justin Bieber – PURPOSE: The Movement” และ “Troye Sivan – Blue Neighbourhood Trilogy” อีกด้วย
